Welcome to the website of the Ratby Co-operative Brass Band. Thank you for visiting, we hope you enjoy finding out a little more about our band. The Ratby Co-operative Band is an organisation consisting of five brass bands ranging from our Beginner Band (Ratby Tooters),  Development Band (Crescendos), and ‘Mid’ Band, through to our premier ensemble the Ratby Co-operative Band (known as the Senior Band). We also have a non-contesting ‘Daytime’ band that meets each week. We our proud to have over 100 musicians through our doors each week and welcome new players at all levels of ability. Our bands perform across the country each year, compete in regional and national competitions, and perform in a wide range of concerts and events, from small ensembles to full glorious sound of the traditional full brass band.

The brass band movement is grown and developed through a national competition structure, which is grouped into regions and divisions according to the overall standard of the band (sections). Our Senior Band currently compete in the Championship Section, the highest level of the national brass band championships. Our Mid Band compete in the Third Section, our other bands are mostly non-contesting however with the aim of supporting everyone to learn and grow as musicians, right from the first note, enjoying making music together. We hope you enjoy visiting our website. Keep up to date with the band on our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages (please follow the links at the top of the page).

Brass Band music can suit any occasion, please get in touch if you think any of our bands can add a little (or a lot of) music to your occasion, charity fundraising event or musical showcase. Bands from the Ratby organisation can be found throughout the year performing in parks, concert halls, village halls,  churches, wedding venues and on very special occasions prestigious venues including the Royal Albert Hall.
